Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Rosecrans Bishops vs. Grove City Christian Eagles

The Bishop Rosecrans Bishops are taking a road trip to face off against the Grove City Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grove City Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bishop Rosecrans, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Bishop Rosecrans strolled past Fisher Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 53-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bishops.

Bishop Rosecrans can attribute much of their success to Kohen Harris, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 17 points and five steals, and Tyler Bernett, who shot 64% from the field en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Bernath, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Grove City Christian scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 61-56 to Berne Union. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop Rosecrans will need to focus on slowing down Cam Goodlet, one of several Grove City Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He went 9-for-17 on his way to 25 points. Goodlet has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Landon Brunicardi was another key player, shooting 54% from the field to rack up 17 points and six rebounds.

Bishop Rosecrans' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Grove City Christian, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Bishop Rosecrans strolled past Grove City Christian in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 59-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bishops since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
