Volleyball Recap: Kingdom Christian Starts Season with Win Against East Dayton Christian

Kingdom Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against East Dayton Christian by a score of 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with East Dayton Christian: they've now won three in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Kingdom Christian took both sets by at least 19 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-5.

Evie Oglesby went supernova, getting ten kills and nine aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Oglesby wasn't the only good server: Kingdom Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 14 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Kingdom Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Marion H on the 15th. As for East Dayton Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Germantown Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be East Dayton Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
