Watseka and Hoopeston are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Cornjerkers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Watseka has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Watseka managed to slip by Manteno the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Panthers on Thursday, falling 22-10. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Seth Dirks was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Galyen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hoopeston lost 9-2 to LeRoy on Thursday.

Cole Miller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run. Reydon Montez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Watseka's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Hoopeston, their loss dropped their record down to 9-18.

Watseka skirted past Hoopeston 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cornjerkers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
