Oak Ridge faced Rocklin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Trojans never let the Thunder get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Ellison Schroeder looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Emery Glaser was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Gemma Almont, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Oak Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocklin only posted an OBP of .250.
Oak Ridge's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Rocklin, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.
