Softball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes Down Ranked Rocklin

Oak Ridge faced Rocklin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Trojans blew past the Thunder 7-0. Considering the Trojans have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellison Schroeder looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Emery Glaser was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Carmen Montes De Oca also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Oak Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocklin only posted an OBP of .250.

Oak Ridge's record is now 16-3. As for Rocklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

Oak Ridge has already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Davis Sr. on the 28th. As for Rocklin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Destiny Christian Academy on the 28th.
