Volleyball Recap: Wickenburg Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wickenburg Christian Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jenny Blodgett. The Lion walked away with a 3-1 victory over the West Valley Christian Warriors on Wednesday with plenty of help from Blodgett, who had 18 blocks, nine aces, and three digs. Blodgett is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least seven every time she's taken the court this season.

Wickenburg Christian Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 22-25, 25-18.

Wickenburg Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tylee Grantham, who had 16 kills and three blocks. Those 16 kills gave Grantham a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Moder, who had ten kills and three aces.

Wickenburg Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for West Valley Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Wickenburg Christian Academy will welcome Tri City Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. West Valley Christian has already played their next matchup (against Harvest Prep Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
