Game recap: Lafayette Christian Academy defeats Highland Baptist Christian

LAFAYETTE, La. - Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, La.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 14 in the fourth quarter to seal a 41-13 victory over Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, La.).

After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter, the Knights were up 20-7 at the half.

Lafayette Christian Academy grew its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. LCA's lone score in the quarter came on an Ashtin Fremin touchdown run.

Dylan Hargrave and Jeremy Joseph ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Bears. Hargrave scored two touchdowns on the ground and Joseph added two as well.

Coming into the game the Lafayette school had allowed 21.1 points per game this year.



The victory avenged Lafayette Christian Academy's close 19-18 loss to Highland Baptist Christian last season.

The defeat comes as a step back for Highland Baptist Christian, which notched a 10-7 victory over Ascension Episcopal in its previous outing.
