Basketball Game Preview: Nashua-Plainfield Huskies vs. Tripoli Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies and the Tripoli Panthers will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Nashua-Plainfield was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to North Butler. The Huskies have struggled against the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Tripoli can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game last Friday. They had just enough and edged Rockford out 56-54. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tripoli's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Nashua-Plainfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Nashua-Plainfield against Tripoli in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 76-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nashua-Plainfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
