Basketball Preview: Solvay Bearcats vs. Skaneateles Lakers
Solvay has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Skaneateles Lakers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Solvay lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They took a serious blow against Marcellus, falling 79-38. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Solvay in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Skaneateles had to settle for a 56-53 defeat against the Eagles back in January. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Skaneateles came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Eagles are ranked 390th).
Solvay dropped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Skaneateles, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
