Football Recap: Faith Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Faith Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-18 heartbreaker at the hands of the LeFlore Rattlers. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rattlers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Faron Walker Jr., who picked up 91 receiving yards and one touchdown. An impressive showing, but he really ramped things up playing D: he forced two fumbles and made eight total tackles. Jatarus Morrissette was in the mix too, providing LeFlore with one score.

Faith Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for LeFlore, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Academy will square off against Elberta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for LeFlore, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
