Baseball Game Preview: Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks vs. Southeast Lancers

The Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks will head out to take on the Southeast Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Jayhawk Linn has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jayhawk Linn came up short against Marmaton Valley on Thursday, falling 22-12. The Jayhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Southeast didn't have quite enough to beat Baxter Springs on Thursday and fell 6-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Lancers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Tyler Warner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Zayne Gabern, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Jayhawk Linn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-2.

Jayhawk Linn came out on top in a nail-biter against Southeast in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 10-9. Will the Jayhawks repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
