Baseball Recap: Mendon Gets the Win

Mendon was handed an eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Fall Creek Crickets 9-7.

Mendon gave Ethan Postle the start and clearly made the right call: he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Mendon got a massive performance out of Sam Harrigan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Noah Sansone, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The victory got Mendon back to even at 2-2.

Mendon will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Greece Olympia at 5:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Fall Creek, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-7 defeat against Pittsford on the 2nd.
