University Prep has gone 7-1 against Colusa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 11:00 a.m. University Prep is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

University Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against CORE Butte as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

University Prep walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-9, 25-21, 25-16.

Pierce typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Colusa proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory. The game was the first time the RedHawks have beaten the Bears on their court since September 21, 2023.

Colusa was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-20.

University Prep's win bumped their record up to 28-8. As for Colusa, their victory bumped their record up to 24-12.

University Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Colusa when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
