Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Overton Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Admirals of the 13-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Franklin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Myers, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another was Morgan Bennett, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Overton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will square off against Nolensville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Overton, they will face off against Cane Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
