Softball Recap: Whitmer's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Whitmer got themselves on the board against Elmwood on Monday, but Elmwood never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Royals.

The result came thanks to Alexis Stoldt's shutout, as she gave up just five hits.

On the hitting side, McKenzie Englehart was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

Whitmer's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Elmwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitmer will welcome Milan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elmwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
