Softball Game Preview: Carolina Academy Bobcats vs. Williamsburg Academy Stallions

The Carolina Academy Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Williamsburg Academy Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carolina Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Carolina Academy's offense. They came up short against Pee Dee Academy on Thursday, falling 9-0. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Williamsburg Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 15-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Stallions, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Williamsburg Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Carolina Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Williamsburg Academy in their previous matchup back in March, winning 10-7. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Stallions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
