Softball Recap: Stafford Takes a Loss

Stafford came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the North Stafford Wolverines by a score of 6-4 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-4 defeat on Monday.

Denae Lardge made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Stafford, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wolverines beat Stafford by a score of 6-4 later that day.
