Volleyball Game Preview: Helix Highlanders vs. El Capitan Vaqueros + How To Watch

Helix is 0-10 against El Capitan since March of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Highlanders will face off against the Vaqueros at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Helix not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Santana. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.

Helix was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-20.

Meanwhile, El Capitan beat Valhalla 3-1 on Monday.

El Capitan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-13.

Helix's record now sits at 4-12. As for El Capitan, their record is now 19-10.

Helix suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to El Capitan in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
