Lake View piles up the points against Lamar

Make it ten blowout wins for the Lake View Wild Gators this season. They claimed a resounding 52-10 win over Lamar on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Lake View has managed all season.

Lake View was led to victory by Jaleya Ford and Gwendasia Page. Ford scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Page dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 steals. Page hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Zy'Kiara Waters, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

The win was the sixth in a row for Lake View, bringing their record for this year to 16-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Lamar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake View will challenge Hannah-Pamplico at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hannah-Pamplico will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Lake View is ranked 71st). As for Lamar, they will head out on the road to take on Green Sea Floyds at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Sea Floyds is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
