Volleyball Recap: Florence Comes Up Short

Florence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Sparkman Senators. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Senators when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kensley Gunn paced Florence's offense, picking up eight kills. Gunn got some help from Landri Kilpatrick and her 12 assists.

Florence's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Sparkman, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-13 record this season.

Florence will take on Mars Hill Bible on Tuesday. As for Sparkman, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Jasper on the 3rd.
