Football Recap: Harrison Comes Up Short + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Harrison was not quite McEachern's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a blow against the Indians, falling 48-21. The matchup marked the Hoyas' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Harrison lost, don't look at Dj Huggins. Despite the final result, he picked up 127 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Huggins' receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 107 receiving yards. Aiden Watson also helped out by tossing the rock for 259 yards.

Even if they lost, Harrison's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Olrick Johnson Iii refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in McEachern's side was Johnson Iii, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made 13 total tackles.

McEachern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Calvin Pittman Jr led the charge by rushing for 141 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries, while also throwing for 233 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Henry Pullen, who rushed for 155 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

Having lost for the first time this season, Harrison fell to 5-1. As for McEachern, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Harrison and McEachern should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Hoyas (ranked 27th) will meet South Cobb (ranked 342nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, McEachern will take on Pebblebrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (8 vs. 249).
