Softball Recap: Corvallis Takes a Loss

Corvallis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-5 to the Gresham Gophers. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Parker Doerr was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Olivia Richardson was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Even though they lost, Corvallis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Corvallis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gresham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Corvallis will take on Sandy in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Gresham, they will be taking part in a tournament against Molalla at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
