Softball Recap: Corinth Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Brunswick Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Corinth Christian Academy). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brunswick Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday, sneaking past 20-19. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Hallie Altman and Jamielyn Hudson did most of the damage at the plate: Altman went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs, while Hudson went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave Altman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kennadie Herndon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Corinth Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Corinth Christian Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Brunswick Christian Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Corinth Christian Academy and Brunswick Christian Academy will both be playing Northside Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host Northside Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Warriors will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
