Recap: Shattuck Indians vs. Garber Wolverines
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Shattuck Indians can now relate to. The matchup between Shattuck and Garber wasn't particularly close, with Shattuck falling 48-32. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Carson Bishop was a one-man wrecking crew for Garber as he rushed for 304 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Bishop's longest rush was for an incredible 94 yards. Another player making a difference was Domingo Ramirez, who rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Shattuck's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Garber, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.
Shattuck does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Garber will take on Velma-Alma at TBD on Friday. Velma-Alma knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Garber likes a good challenge.
