Softball Recap: Hemphill Falls Short of Timpson in the Playoffs

Hemphill and Timpson squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Hemphill had to settle for second. They lost 12-4 to the Bears. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Hemphill dropped their record down to 12-17-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Timpson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5.

While Hemphill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
