Volleyball Recap: Selma Takes a Loss

The Selma Saints came up short against the Jackson Aggies on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12.

Jackson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kristen Yeager led the charge by getting five kills, three digs, and three aces. Yeager has been hot recently, having posted five or more kills the last three times she's played.

Selma's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Jackson, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Selma will welcome Southside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarke County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
