Baseball Game Preview: Kamiak Knights vs. Glacier Peak Grizzlies

The Kamiak Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Glacier Peak Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Kamiak's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Glacier Peak's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Wednesday, Kamiak didn't have quite enough to beat Woodinville and fell 6-5.

Colby Koga was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Andrew Fetty was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Glacier Peak not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th. They put the hurt on Kentwood with a sharp 10-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The victory made it two in a row for Glacier Peak and bumps their season record up to 4-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Kamiak, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Kamiak couldn't quite finish off Glacier Peak in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
