Basketball Recap: Providence Country Day Takes a Loss

Providence Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 45-34 to the Woonsocket Villa Novans.

Woonsocket's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Rivera, who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave Rivera a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jelysa Moise, who scored eight points.

Providence Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Woonsocket, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Country Day will host Davies Career & Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woonsocket, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Achievement First Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
