            Football Recap: Comanche Indians vs. Breckenridge Buckaroos        
        
		
        
        
            Comanche was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were four  points away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   26-22 heartbreaker at the hands of the Breckenridge Buckaroos. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buckaroos apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
Although Comanche took the loss, they still got scores from  Ct Buford,  Zaden Tello,  and  Ladanian Smith.
 Comanche didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Buford picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
  Jaime Cruz produced another solid  performance rushing for 156 yards and a pair of  touchdowns for Breckenridge. Cruz is becoming a predictor of the Buckaroos' success: when he posts  at  least 100  rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 0-5 when he doesn't).
Comanche's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Breckenridge, their  victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Comanche will  take on  rival San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Breckenridge is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Sweetwater  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
