Cherry Hill East is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since May 9, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Seneca 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Zach Salsbery, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Moyer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Lenape fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Vineland on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Fighting Clan by a score of 3-2. The Indians' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Lenape's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cherry Hill East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-2 record this season.
