Softball Recap: Rice Lake Takes a Loss

Rice Lake blew Eau Claire Memorial out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Eau Claire Memorial got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of the Old Abes by a score of 3-1. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Kamryn Kunz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.

Rice Lake has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Eau Claire Memorial, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

While Rice Lake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
