Baseball Game Preview: Dr. Krop Lightning vs. Flanagan Falcons

The Dr. Krop Lightning will face off against the Flanagan Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dr. Krop has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Dr. Krop is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They lost 14-1 to Palmer Trinity.

Dr. Krop got a good showing from Jose Montano, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Dr. Krop saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Pena, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Flanagan suffered their closest loss since April 2, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Cardinal Newman by a score of 7-5. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carter Roberts made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Christian Duran-Robinson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Flanagan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Dr. Krop, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
