Baseball Game Preview: Scranton Prep Cavaliers vs. Abington Heights Comets

For the second straight game, Scranton Prep will face off against Abington Heights. The Cavaliers will square off against the Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Scranton Prep has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Abington Heights will come in with four straight wins.

On Wednesday, Scranton Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Abington Heights and fell 5-4.

For Abington Heights' part, Finn Goldberg looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Evan Gonzalez was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Reese Zalewski, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Abington Heights' victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Scranton Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
