Football Recap: Grandview Has No Trouble Against Chatfield + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Grandview had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Chatfield Chargers with points to spare, taking the game 32-13. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 37-28 win the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

Maddox Johnson was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns. Those 131 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Grandview's run defense was locked in: Chatfield could only muster one yards per carry. While five picked up at least one total tackle, Johnson stood above the rest. He rushed for 131 yards and three TDs. Grandview's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.6.

Despite the defeat, Chatfield had strong showings from Cash Williams, who threw for 222 yards and one touchdown, and William (Roni) Rohlman, who picked up 72 receiving yards and one score.

Grandview now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Chatfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Grandview will take on Arvada West at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Chatfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
