After a string of four wins, Hauppauge's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Firebirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Hauppauge's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Kellenberg Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Looking ahead, Hauppauge will face off against Half Hollow Hills East at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kellenberg Memorial, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Westhampton Beach on the 27th.
