Volleyball Recap: Max S. Hayes Comes Up Short

Max S. Hayes and Strongsville squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Max S. Hayes had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lakers have suffered since March 31st.

While Max S. Hayes was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Strongsville's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-8, 25-11.

Among those leading the charge was Anthony Pinzone, who had seven assists and two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Max S. Hayes and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for Strongsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Max S. Hayes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Strongsville, they will square off against Stow-Munroe Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
