Basketball Game Preview: Shanley Deacons vs. Fargo South Bruins

Shanley and Fargo South are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Shanley Deacons will head out on the road to take on the Fargo South Bruins at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Shanley came into this matchup off a tough 44-point defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Grand Forks Central by a score of 52-49 on Tuesday. The Deacons haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Fargo South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to West Fargo at home by a 82-68 margin.

Fargo South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Shanley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.

Shanley came up short against Fargo South when the teams last played back in February, falling 71-62. Can Shanley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
