Softball Recap: Grand View Christian Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Grand View Christian lost a heartbreaker the last time they played West Marshall, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Thunder were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Trojans on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Grand View Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for West Marshall, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Grand View Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Roland-Story at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Thunder have won four straight at home, while the Norsemen won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for West Marshall, they will venture away from home to take on Prairie City-Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.4, the Mustangs 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
