Football Recap: West Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West lost against Mountain House back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolfpack took a 25-7 bruising from the Mustangs.

Logan Barry threw for 111 yards and one TD. Christian Balderrama was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Ethan Morris rushed for 40 yards.

Leading Mountain House to victory were Erin Foster and Jacoby Johnson. Foster gained 136 total yards and three touchdowns, while Johnson rushed for 166 yards and one score. Those 166 rushing yards gave Johnson a new career-high.

West dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mountain House, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

West and Mountain House could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Wolfpack (ranked 747th) will meet Kimball (ranked 318th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mountain House will challenge Tracy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (610 vs. 260).
