Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Seminole

Seminole had won two straight games and Jorden Pittman did his part to make it three on Wednesday. The Seminole Seminoles snuck past the East River Falcons with a 76-72 win thanks in part to Pittman, who went 12 of 22 en route to 30 points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Seminole's points.

Another player making a difference was Javon Peterson, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 13 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (two).

Seminole is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for East River, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-5.

Seminole didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-73 victory against Hope Academy on the 24th. East River has also already played their next matchup, a 62-56 win against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 25th.
