Baseball Recap: St. Charles Takes a Loss

St. Charles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-0 to the Merrill Vandals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

St. Charles saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Sheltraw, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

St. Charles' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Merrill, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Charles is set to face off against their familiar foe Sacred Heart Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Merrill will square off against rival Coleman at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
