Basketball Game Preview: La Vega Pirates vs. Buffalo Bison

On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, La Vega beat West 50-45. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Trojans are ranked 668th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Buffalo had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Groesbeck, posting a 63-35 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bison considering their 23-point performance the game before.

La Vega pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Buffalo, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.
