Football Game Preview: Cherry Hill East vs. Cumberland

On Saturday Cherry Hill East take on Cumberland at 2:00 PM. The teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with four consecutive losses for Cherry Hill East and five for Cumberland.

Cherry Hill East came within a touchdown against Princeton last Saturday, but wound up with a 14-21 loss. Junior Mike Wheeler and senior Mitchell Donovan were two go-getters for Cherry Hill East despite the defeat. The former picked up 122 yards on the ground and threw 1 TD, while the latter picked up 75 yards on the ground and accumulated 133 passing yards.

Meanwhile, Cumberland fought the good fight in their overtime contest but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. Cumberland didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 28-34 to Bridgeton.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
