Football Recap: Catawba Ridge Starts Season with Win on the Road

Catawba Ridge had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Chapin Eagles to the tune of 30-0. This was payback for the Copperheads, who suffered a 47-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Catawba Ridge will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chester at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Chapin, they will face off against A.C. Flora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
