Basketball Recap: Spring Branch Sets Scoring Season-High Against Salem Sayers Baptist Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spring Branch). They blew past Salem Sayers Baptist Academy 59-34 on Friday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wolf Pack had established a 22-point advantage.

Salem Sayers Baptist Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was David Jorgensen, who posted 13 points and three blocks. That was a full 38.2% of Salem Sayers Baptist Academy's points, marking the third time in a row Jorgensen has had more than a third of the team's points. Kolbe Morson was another key player, putting up seven points.

The victory made it two in a row for Spring Branch and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Salem Sayers Baptist Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
