Baseball Recap: Toms River North Takes a Loss

Toms River North suffered their biggest defeat since April 15th on Saturday. They came up short against the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Mariners in their meetings with the Garnet Gulls: they've now lost four in a row.

Toms River North's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Point Pleasant Beach, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Toms River North will face off against Jackson Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Point Pleasant Beach, they will square off against Wall Township at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
