Basketball Recap: Mooseheart Red Ramblers vs. College Prep of America Thunder
Mooseheart lost against College Prep of America back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mooseheart Red Ramblers fell just short of the College Prep of America Thunder by a score of 59-57. That's two games in a row now that the Red Ramblers have lost by exactly two points.
Despite the loss, Mooseheart still got an impressive performance from John McGowin, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sylvester Gitten, who posted seven points and nine rebounds.
Hamzah Shouman was his usual excellent self, going 16 of 26 en route to 41 points and six boards for College Prep of America. That makes it three consecutive games in which Shouman has scored at least a third of College Prep of America's points. Omair Aleemuddin was another key player, putting up eight points.
This is the second loss in a row for Mooseheart and nudges their season record down to 6-15. As for College Prep of America, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season.
