Basketball Recap: Holton Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Holton lost against Silver Lake back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Holton Wildcats fell 48-36 to the Silver Lake Eagles. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Holton lost, don't look at Brayden Peek. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Lassey, who posted six points.

Holton's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9. As for Silver Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Holton will welcome St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Silver Lake, they will venture away from home to challenge Nemaha Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Silver Lake will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
