Baseball Recap: Lowry Takes a Loss

Lowry extended their losing streak to 17 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-19-1. They came up short against the Spring Creek Spartans, falling 10-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-0 defeat on Saturday.

As for Spring Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by eight runs or more this season.

For Spring Creek's part, they got a massive performance out of Preston Morris, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Morris has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Gabe Zubiria, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lowry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 win against Dayton on the 10th. As for Spring Creek, they have also already played their next game, a 14-9 victory against Truckee on the 9th.
