Basketball Recap: Canby Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Canby duked it out withSeattle Prep on Monday. The Canby Cougars were outmatched by the Seattle Prep Panthers and fell 83-42. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Canby still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Lawson, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points. The game was Lawson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Benjamin Twitchell was another key player, putting up four points.

This is the second loss in a row for Canby and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Seattle Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
