North Medford has gone 9-1 against Willamette recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Black Tornado will welcome the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. North Medford will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Saturday, North Medford beat Grants Pass 6-3.

Macen Baker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, North Medford's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Easton Curtis, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Colton Miller was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Willamette ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past South Medford 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Willamette's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for North Medford, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

North Medford skirted past Willamette 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Black Tornado repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
